Jim Carrey marries longtime partner Min Ah in private ceremony in Los Angeles

Date:

Jim Carrey has married his girlfriend Min Ah in a private ceremony in Los Angeles, according to the actor’s representative.

The 64-year-old Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind star and Ah have kept much of their relationship away from the public eye, although they were first photographed together in 2022.

The couple made their public debut at the César Awards in Paris on February 26, where Carrey was accompanied by his adult daughter, Jane, and Ah’s teenage son, Jackson.

During his honorary award speech, Carrey thanked Ah in French.

“Thank you to my wonderful family, my daughter Jane, and my grandson Jackson. I love you now and forever,” Carrey said through translation. “Thank you to my sublime companion, Min Ah,” he added in French. “I love you, Min Ah.”

Carrey has previously been married twice.

He married Melissa Womer in 1987, and they share daughter Jane, before divorcing in 1995.

He married his Dumb and Dumber co-star Lauren Holly in 1996, but the marriage ended the following year.

The actor has also previously dated Jenny McCarthy, Renée Zellweger, Linda Ronstadt and January Jones.

Carrey had previously suggested that he did not expect to marry again.

In a 2014 interview with Howard Stern, he said, “I just don’t see it as necessary, at this point.”

His marriage to Ah marks a change from that earlier position.
