The positive opening came amid a decline in international oil prices, as resilient Middle Eastern crude exports and the G7’s emergency stockpile release eased immediate supply concerns, although lingering security risks in the region limited the decline.

Brent crude futures fell 83 cents, or 0.8%, to $99.49 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate crude futures dropped $1, or 1.1%, to $88.43 a barrel around 0650 GMT.

In corporate news, Sazgar Engineering Works (SAZEW) reported four-wheeler sales of 2,474 units in August and September 2026, broadly flat year-on-year, according to Topline Securities.

By midday, the buying momentum remained intact till filing of this report, with the KSE-100 index holding firmly in positive territory as investors continued to accumulate positions across key sectors.
