Presley Gerber suffered cardiac arrest before his death at 27, according to 911 dispatch audio obtained by Page Six, revealing new details about the emergency at a California rehabilitation facility.
Published on September 21, 2026, the report states that an automated voice on the recording can be heard saying “cardiac arrest” and “overdose”.
The address provided during the call reportedly matches the rehabilitation centre where Gerber was staying.
An operator is also heard apparently upgrading the emergency call.
A source at the scene told Page Six that police officers, paramedics and firefighters responded, with authorities remaining at the location for approximately three hours.
Gerber, the only son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, died on September 20 at a Los Angeles-area rehabilitation facility.
He had reportedly been staying in a sober house on the centre’s grounds.
Gerber had reportedly checked himself into a Santa Monica rehabilitation centre “this weekend” because “he knew he needed help.”
The insider said he had struggled with self-esteem, addiction and finding direction in life, adding that he desperately wanted to overcome his addictions.
Gerber had previously spoken publicly about his mental health. In November 2025, he revealed on Instagram that he had stepped back from social media to focus on his wellbeing.
His family, including sister Kaia Gerber, has requested privacy during this difficult period.
According to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner, Gerber’s cause and manner of death remain pending.
