BTS leader RM has asked fans to stop gathering outside the group’s hotels after crowds in Lima disrupted the sleep of members and staff ahead of their concerts in Peru.

In a post on the fan platform Weverse, RM said it was his first visit to Peru and that he was happy to be there before addressing the situation outside the hotel.

🐨 Hello, Latin America, we are now in Peru. It’s my first time coming to Peru, so I’m really excited and happy!
It’s the same in Colombia; the members and staff are having a very hard time because of the people who live in front of… pic.twitter.com/THmz1O3yDw

“Because of the people stationed all day long in front the hotel that we’re staying in, the members and staff are having a really hard time,” he wrote. “It’s so noisy even into the rooms, that we all haven’t been able to sleep much.”

RM also said the crowds were affecting other hotel guests and warned that insufficient rest could affect BTS’ performances.

RM extended his request to fans across the group’s tour, asking them not to wait outside hotels in Chile, Brazil, Argentina or future Asian destinations.

He described ARMY as “the world’s coolest fans” and said he hoped for “a more developed (mature) relationship that we can be proud of.” He concluded: “I’m always grateful and I love you.”

The appeal follows a similar request from BTS member V, who previously asked fans to avoid the group’s hotels and respect their privacy.

The Lima concerts mark BTS’ first visit to Peru as part of the 88-show Arirang World Tour.
