Pakistan’s Abdul Rehman has won the men’s poligras magic skill award after hockey fans around the world voted his spectacular goal at the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup, their favourite skill moment of the tournament.
Rehman produced a dazzling display of 3D skills against Wales, controlling the ball in the air before weaving past four defenders and scoring a remarkable goal.
The effort earned 44 percent of the global fan vote, putting Rehman ahead of South Africa’s Kenton Melville, who received 39 percent of the votes.
The award was decided through a worldwide fan vote held from September 4 to 13. Six moments, three from the men’s tournament and three from the women’s competition were shortlisted.
The Poligras Magic Skill Award is presented by FIH global supplier Polytan.
In the women’s category, India goalkeeper Bichu Devi Karibam won with 52 percent of the vote for a late reflex save against England.
The 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup was held in Belgium and the Netherlands and concluded on August 30.
Pakistan Hockey Federation’s President Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani congratulated Rehman on the achievement and said his success could inspire young hockey players in Pakistan.
