Meanwhile, mobile phone services began to be restored in Dera Ismail Khan after three days.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, in a statement, strongly condemned the firing incidents targeting officials in Dera Ismail Khan and expressed grief over the deaths. He extended his condolences to their families, saying the government stood with them in their hour of grief.

Naqvi said Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa was the province worst affected by terrorism and that “such cowardly attacks cannot weaken the nation’s firm resolve to fight terrorism”.
