Chinese livestreamer Jeremy Yang has drawn online controversy after allegedly releasing video footage and chat logs linked to K-pop boy band TXT leader Choi Soobin, prompting renewed debate among fans and a legal warning from the idol’s agency , BIGHIT MUSIC.
According to the report, discussions intensified in October after alleged private images circulated on social media.
Users subsequently compared clothing and other visual details in the material with Soobin’s photographs, while some questioned whether the footage was authentic or potentially manipulated using artificial intelligence.
Yang, reportedly associated with the Instagram account @jeremyang123 and the Douyin handle 老杨在这里, was said to have addressed the controversy during a livestream on October 21.
Online accounts attributed claims to him about how the footage was shared, but these statements have not been independently verified.
The identity of the person shown in the alleged footage and the claims surrounding the reported relationship remain unconfirmed.
On October 22, BIGHIT MUSIC issued a statement condemning false information and malicious rumours targeting its artist, warning that it would take legal action against those responsible.
“Posting and spreading malicious content is a criminal act that gravely violates the artist’s rights and damages their reputation,” the agency stated.
BIGHIT MUSIC said it was collecting evidence across domestic and international platforms and urged fans to report harmful posts. The statement did not name Yang or directly confirm or deny the specific allegations.
